How to apply?
Download and complete the application form of the chosen course and return it to us per email.
An online application form is available for our Summer Holiday Courses only.
What happens after I sent my booking (online or per email)?
We will revert to you shortly with an official confirmation and invoice. The deposit and registration fee will be payable upon receipt of the invoice to guarantee the place.
When is full payment due?
An invoice will be sent to you at the time of registration. The registration fee and deposit are payable upon receipt. Then the balance is due by December 1st for Winter Courses and by June 1st for Summer Courses.
What is the deposit of CHF 800.- used for?
A refundable deposit of CHF 800.- is requested once the student has been accepted.
This amount can be used to cover unexpected costs once you are at school (loss of room keys, emergency or damage for example) and will be reimbursed cash to the student on the departure day.
It can also be used to cover extra activities or sports expenses.
What it the deadline to apply?
No official deadline but subject to availability. The sooner the better.
How to apply for a visa?
Depending on your nationality, you need a visa to enter Switzerland and should apply for a short-stay/tourist visa (also referred to as a Schengen visa application).
If requested by the embassy or consulate, our school will be pleased to provide you with documents to support your application.
How are the students placed in classes?
Students are tested and then placed in a class suited to their language level and age (maximum of 12 students per class).
Will I get a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a certificate, stating the length of your stay, language studied and level.
Who will be my teachers?
Long-time experienced mother-tongued teachers and staff.
Am I allowed to use my electronic devices?
Mobile phones are tolerated, but must not be brought to class or meals, or must be turned off.
All phones off at 21:30.
We strongly advise our students to take a break from their laptops, games consoles, etc… during the time they spend with us.
What about pocket money?
The money can be transferred in advance with the payment or deposited at our office on arrival day.
The student can collect money at our office during the week-days (the weekly or daily allowance can be fixed by the legal representative).
We recommend a minimum amount of CHF. 50.-/100.- per week (or at legal representative’s discretion).
What if I need a transfer?
From the airport
The closest airport is Geneva airport (about 1 hour and 15 minutes ‘drive)
Accompanied trip to or from Geneva-Airport can be requested on the application form.
Group transfers will be organized for arrivals and departures between 9:00 and 17:00 only.
Outside these hours, the individual rate will apply.
Our driver will be waiting for the student with a Monte Rosa sign in the arrivals hall (just after the baggage claim area).
It is important that you notify us if the student is travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor (UM).
By train
The closest railway station is Montreux (about 10 minutes’ drive). Direct trains run twice per hour from Geneva airport to Montreux railway station.
Taxis are available at the railway station; school transfers can also be organized upon request.
