Each season abounds with opportunities for sports. At Monte Rosa, physical education instructors offer training in a variety of disciplines. Our teaching methods combine sports and physical education, an essential base for the development of body and character.

In order to develop our students’ cultural and artistic sensibility, outings, museum visits, concerts and other exciting events are an integral part of the school’s extracurricular activities.

The location of the school is ideal, on the shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by beautiful mountains, offering an easy access to a wide choice of sports, cultural and leisure activities. Horseback riding, playing golf, swimming, skiing in the Swiss Alps, and cultural excursions to cities such as Lausanne, Geneva, Lucerne, Bern or Zurich are organized on a weekly basis for all our students.

Our instructors consider sports training a school of endurance and individual aptitude demanding self-control and Fair-play. In keeping with their views, we offer training in a variety of disciplines, among them a comprehensive range of summer and winter sports, both in nature and at our own facilities.

Furthermore, our programs give the possibility for our pupils to practice sports which are not often available in their country of origin.

We are very flexible on our activities: we can organize them individually or in small groups if several students are interested in the same activity. The Conservatoire de Musique in Montreux has the pleasure of welcoming our students for their music lessons: a good opportunity for them to play the instrument of their choice in an outstanding environment.

In addition, various excursions are offered in order to increase our students' curiosity about arts and general knowledge. That is why they take part in museum visits and concerts which are a part of their educational program. Our activities are the way to teach with another method in order to complete classical courses. These kind of activities inspire our students for the different projects they have to carry out.
